FertiSeeds has developed a unique technology called "Exogenic Allelism" to position two genetic components precisely across from each other in allelic position on sister chromosomes. The two components, that are inactive alone, complement each other to cause the desired trait. When the sister chromosomes segregate naturally, in the consecutive generation the trait disappears. |

FertiSeeds uses its technology for hybrid seed production by positioning two interacting components to cause male sterility in the female parental line. The components segregate obligatorily in meiosis resulting in a fully fertile F1 hybrid. |

FertiSeeds technology has four key features:
First, hybridization with any pollen of choice. In the parent generation, the technology prevents pollen production so the female plants can be hybridized with pollen from any pollen donor of choice.
Second, natural fertility restoration. In the F1 crop bearing generation, fertility of the hybrid plants in the farmer’s field is automatically restored through natural segregation ensuring 100% fertility in the field.
Third, it is environmentally friendly and safe. The trait is made up of two genetic components separate safely through natural segregation, eliminating active trait flow to wild species and environmental impact.
Fourth, natural intellectual property protection. Hybrids, by their nature protect the intellectual property of germplasm and technology invested in the improved seeds
